Digital Accessibility at PRISM
At PRISM, we are committed to ensuring our digital content and online tools are accessible, inclusive, and usable for all members of the public. As part of a National Science Foundation (NSF) supported center, we aim to communicate research, outreach, and community resources clearly and equitably.
Our Accessibility Standards
PRISM adheres to:
• The University of Florida Digital Accessibility Policy
• ADA Title II (2024–2026 updates)
• WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines
Our website uses the UF Mercury theme, which supports:

• Correct semantic headings
• Keyboard access
• Screen-reader compatibility
• High-contrast color standards
• Accessible buttons and links
What We Do to Support Accessibility
• Provide alt text for images
• Ensure all videos include captions and transcript access
• Use descriptive link text (not just “click here”)
• Maintain consistent heading levels
• Provide accessible forms with labeled fields
• Offer accessible PDF and web formats
• Review content regularly with accessibility tools
